Best channel on youtube. Explains everything simply. Oh can you do a video on BREXIT!!!!!!
Can you re-apply the bitumen after a few years to prolong the repair or would you need to re-apply the primer first? Thank you in advance.
Im making a camper and this is how im gonna coat it and water proof it.. no fiberglass tho.
Great work, about to try it out ,but I can't find the primer or the scrim
Thank you so much for this video! Explains everything really well and is really helpful for a roof novice.
Good video. Can you use this on a shingle roof?
i haqve an unusual question could i use this on a wooden camper top to waterproof it and if so i would assume that using the screen mesh would be a good thing and then covering it with reflective uv paint would be the icing on the cake for sure
Can you come and do mine? Please
Good video with good explanation. Nevertheless while watching the video i was kind of feeling quite a cold sweat for worrying the technician might fall off from the roof.
Very impressed with this video. Thank you. Would you have any idea what will stick a butyl rubber sheet to roofing felt? Trying to do a repair with some spare butyle from the pond on a flat roof.
It dont hurt to wear a decent mask, that roof coating smells pretty bad. Thanks for posting and sharing, nice video.
Very nice – thank you.
Is this stuff like tar or is it superior?
Ur very clever as always
Can I use in roof shed? If yes, Should I remove the old felt or apply on the top ?
Hi bud , great video.. I couldn't get compound delivered to my address, but could get 25l bitchumen paint. Weather has been warm…but after 3 days first coat is still sticky. How long does it take to ho off or will it always be sticky when warm ..? Cheers bud
Nice video, but why… why complicate stuff, just use an selfadhesive capsheat?? Everything in one go…!
I love how easy you made this seem. I cant wait to start my sun room project myself after being quoted 1400$ for the job. Thank You for sharing!!! 🙂
If I have a relatively sound bitchumin felt roof, and want to keep the room beneath cooler as it gets sun all day in the summer months, can I simply clean the roof and add the solar reflective paint, or do you recommend a layer of primer etc beforehand? Do you think I should go as far as adding a layer of the bitchumen paint as you did? the felt must be around 10 years old now. So I feel adding this now may help prolong it's life before any leaks start!
Otherwise know as a pain the arse 🤣
any chance you might re tile my place ?
Do you need a face mask whilst putting these kind of adhesives?
Excellent video you saved me a lot of money I just had a quote off a builder asking for £10,000 to do some work on a flat roof
Keep up the good work
amazing instructions. thanks mate. i now know how to save my 10 year old grey plastic flat roof which was the in thing in 2010 but is now not the in thing.
Hi. My flat roof is covered in a fibre glass material. Had it 10 years but now showing early signs of leaks. Can I use this method on fibre glass? Cheers.
Hi there, brilliant video, I can't see a link for the Glass fibre scrim in your links, Where did you get this please? Thank you.
Excellent videos bought me some time and saved my flat roof over the years. I need to replace my the flat roof now though, what is your opinion on EPDM?
Simple and effective. Don't put it on inside out.
For DIY people, not for professional roofers. The fact hes wearing trainers says it all.
Mate, all I can say is thank-you very much. I've had a structural problem with my roof for the 23 years I lived in my house, which I believe to have been a problem from the time the extension was built 40+years ago. Your solution cost me AU$200 and maintaining it's integrity. This was after a no.of experts and two roofs later amounting to over AU$25000. Were I in Old Blighty, I'd give you a case of your poison (booze). Yes I had corrugations which prooved to be a pain in the arse, cutting the Flyscreen into strips got around that to some degree. I hope that my house now survives the fires. A hearty good on ya from Oz.
My garage roof has an asphalt roof that is leaking badly, it has a layer of what i think is black basalt stones I guess that means I will need to strip thewhole roof of before attempting any repair. Is there any advantage to reapplying a similar topping? The slope on the roof is minimal.
can not find where to sell bitumen primer 5 Liter ??????????? is there similar product in the USA ?????????
Thank you so much for this. I've been stressing about the cost of having a slightly seeping extension roof fixed. Now if it would just stop raining I can set about doing this (minus the scrim).
wow, so nice. But you have had to provide the material lists that are to be available in another country than England which is adaptable and use of mere this video.
Well done mate, like to see one with a warm flat-roofed boxed dormer from start to finish, cheers. George T
That was an amazing job dude
Fantastic… thank you so much… I'll be doing this…
Well explained! Thanks
Excellent wish I, d watched BEFORE! attempting first repair, 😩 but a very helpful vidio👍
can this method with this type of sealant be used on a corrugated roof ?
